The City of Austin will host its 2026 Fair Chance Hiring Job and Resource Fair on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Permitting and Development Center, located at 6310 Wilhelmina Delco Drive, Austin, TX 78752.
This annual event demonstrates Austin’s ongoing commitment to expanding equitable access to employment, particularly for residents who have been justice‑involved. By connecting job seekers directly with employers who embrace Fair Chance Hiring practices, the City continues to support pathways to economic stability, family well‑being, and long‑term community safety.
Local businesses and external organizations will be invited to participate and prioritized based on their willingness to hire candidates with criminal records and their ability to offer living‑wage opportunities. The fair welcomes job seekers from diverse backgrounds, including veterans, people aged 50+, and individuals with disabilities.
Attendees will have opportunities for on‑the‑spot interviews with hiring managers, and qualified candidates for selected City roles may receive same‑day contingent job offers—helping reduce barriers and accelerate access to meaningful employment.
