Avant-Garde Duo Angine de Poitrine Adds New Austin Stop to Sold-Out Tour

Avant-garde microtonal rock duo Angine de Poitrine has revealed an extension of their current global headline tour, which sold out in both Europe and North America. Among the newly added dates is a performance in Austin at Moody Amphitheater at Waterloo Park on Tuesday, May 11, 2027. This new leg of the tour begins on March 4 in Melbourne, Australia, and concludes on July 30 in Chicoutimi, Canada. Additionally, the band will be performing in Dallas at the Bomb Factory on May 10. Despite existing outside the typical musical and aesthetic mainstream, Angine de Poitrine has gained viral popularity, including features on KEXP. They participated in the Austin alternative festival Levitation in September and are slated for three South American Lollapalooza dates as part of the tour extension. The band also made an appearance on NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The Canadian group, recognizable for their striking black-and-white papier-mâché masks and costumes, is noted for their solid music that blends unconventional math rock with engaging psych grooves, maintaining a distinctive, albeit erratic, rhythm. (Their name translates from French to angina pectoris, which refers to chest pain linked to coronary artery disease.) Angine de Poitrine’s second full-length album, Vol. II, was released on April 3, 2026, achieving No. 3 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart. Presale signups for the new tour dates are currently available via Laylo and will be open until Sunday, October 25, at 2 p.m. Central. Fans who register will receive a unique code on Monday, October 26, enabling them to access the artist presale beginning Tuesday, October 27, at 10 a.m. Other presales will occur on Thursday, October 29, with general sales commencing on Friday, October 30, at 10 a.m. The extended tour dates for Angine de Poitrine in 2027 are as follows:
